Bell Ringer: Give three examples of how you use simple machines in your ever day life.

• Finish pulley labs - due Today

  • • Calculate the efficiency of a pulley setup from the lab

    • To do this, you'll need to calculate the work that the pulley does, as well as the work that you do when using the pulley.

• • Bill Nye - machines

  • Rube Goldberg Machines

    • Intricate design of simple machines linked together (compound machines)

    • Video examples

    • Design your own Rube Goldberg Machine

  • Due Tuesday

  • For Extra Credit, build your machine over the weekend and bring it in or video tape it to show the class on Tuesday
