Bell Ringer: Why does a wave bend when it goes into a new medium?

    • • Here we see a laser being reflected off a mirror. It is clear in this demo that the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are equal. We can also see the light beam get bent as it enters the fish tank (top left). This phenomenon is known as refraction.
