Bell Ringer: Why is it helpful to have equations that relate different variables?
Complete measurement and graphing lab (due Tuesday if not finished today)
Help with graphing, fitting a line, and finding a slope
Notes on this can be found on the file cabinet page.
Metric units, prefixes, and converting between them
How to use prefixes
Each prefix has a "multiple" number with it
This number tells you what multiple of the base unit this prefix is.
e.g. centi has the multiple 0.01, which means a centimeter is the same as 0.01 meters.
We use the multiple numbers to convert between the different metric units.
Read "Units of Measurement" section (pages 17-21)
On page 19, do problems 1-4 (due Tuesday)
