Bell Ringer: On a graph of velocity vs. time, what does a large acceleration look like? What does a small acceleration look like?

• • Confusion on the lab

    • When it comes time to find the acceleration or graph your speed, you'll only look at two points:

      • (0 sec, velocity for 1st 3 m)

      • (time at the end of the run, velocity for last 3 m)

  • Work time on lab and on assignment for Thursday (chapter 4 review, see assignments page)

  • Return graded work and pass around grade sheet

  • Matrix acceleration activity

    • For the clip of "The Matrix Reloaded" that we watched in class, find 5 examples of acceleration.

    • For each example, describe the event, estimate the starting and ending velocities, estimate the time for that change to occur, and calculate the acceleration
