Bell Ringer: On a note card, please write your name as you'd like it pronounced, your parents' names, email addresses, and phone #'s, your seating needs, and your textbook numbers

    • Discuss syllabus

      • Syllabus can be downloaded from the file cabinet page on this web site, if you lose your copy

    • Class procedures

      • Chimes - signal to be quiet

        • Stopwatch after chimes - how much time you owe me after the bell

        • Can earn back time by working productively in class

      • Folders

        • Each student will keep a manila folder for all assignments in this class

          • The first page in your folder will be an index, which has columns for: page number, assignment name, due date, points possible, and points earned

          • The second page will be your syllabus

          • Write the page number at the bottom right of all assignments

        • These folders will be collected when we have a test to check assignments

        • Use the "assignments" page on this web site to check your index

      • Assignments

        • Will have an assignment almost every day

        • Some assignments will be collected and checked for correctness

          • Collected at beginning of the block

          • Any assignment not turned in at the beginning of the block is late, and will lose 20% for each day it is late

        • Other assignments will remain in your folder and be checked for completeness when you turn in your folder

        • All assignments must be kept in this folder through the end of the term

      • Bell Ringers

        • There will be a bell ringer on the board each day when you come in

        • Bell Ringers will be page 2 in your folder, and should all be done on the same sheet of paper (until it's full, of course)

      • Web site

        • Address is at the top of the syllabus

        • Has pages for notes, an assignment list, a calendar, recent grades, and files from class that you can download

        • Should be used as a resource for studying, completing assignments, and catching up after missing class
