        • thermal conductor - transfers heat well

        • thermal insulator - transfers heat poorly

      • convection - transfer of thermal energy when particles of a gas or liquid move from one place to another

      • radiation - all objects constantly radiate energy in the form of visible and invisible light. Warmer objects emit more energy than cooler objects.
