Bell Ringer

    • A 2.5 kg mass is suspended from a spring whose spring constant is 35 N/m. How much does the spring stretch when the mass is in equilibrium? If the mass were pulled down an additional 12 cm from equilibrium and released, what would be the net force acting on the mass the instant it was released?
